OrientGene Harbin Manufacturing Base Project Commences Construction in Pingfang District, Harbin

On the 19th, the groundbreaking ceremony and signing event for the OrientGene Harbin Manufacturing Base Project took place at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base in Pingfang District, Harbin (Harbin Economic and Technological Development Zone).
By the end of 2022, Zhejiang OrientGene Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. planned to enter the Northeastern China market. General Manager Fang Xiaoliang led a delegation to Harbin for an inspection and research visit. Following extensive visits, negotiations, and comparisons, they chose to focus on the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base in Pingfang District, Harbin (Harbin ETZ). From selecting the production site,资质审核 (credentials verification), to handling procedures, it took just one day for Harbin Changrui Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Harbin Wanzijian Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to complete all registration formalities, promptly obtaining their business licenses. This marked the first bioeconomy project to land in Pingfang District (Harbin ETZ) at the dawn of 2023. Following registration, the companies immediately initiated the setup of a COVID-19 antigen test kit production workshop at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base in Pingfang District (Harbin ETZ), with ten production lines ready for operation.
Yu Zhen, District Governor of Pingfang District, Harbin and Director of the Harbin ETZ Management Committee, stated that Pingfang District boasts a solid foundation and complete industrial chains in the bioeconomy. Prior efforts in building standardized industrial plants and improving infrastructure like water, electricity, gas, and heating have resolved issues for incoming investors. This collaboration, from the company's inspection in Harbin to confirming cooperation and obtaining business licenses, saw interdepartmental coordination and the opening of green channels, setting a new pace for industrial project implementation.
Fang Xiaoliang emphasized that the company consistently adheres to principles prioritizing product technology indicators and quality standards, fully recognizing the significance of diagnostic products, particularly COVID-19 testing items, for epidemic prevention and control. The company persists in executing its medium and long-term business strategy. Establishing a presence in Pingfang District (Harbin ETZ) is a strategic move to tap into the northeastern China and Russia's Far East markets, leveraging group industrial advantages and product innovations to forge a path of rapid growth.
