On January 19, the groundbreaking ceremony and signing event for OrientGene 's Harbin Manufacturing Base took place at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base in Pingfang District, Harbin City (Harbin Economic and Technological Development Zone).

Zhejiang OrientGene Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., established in 2005, is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, production, and sales of in vitro diagnostic reagents. At the end of 2022, the company planned to enter the Northeast China market. With the joint efforts of the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Heilongjiang Provincial Drug Administration, Harbin Municipal Government, and other relevant departments, after thorough inspections, negotiations, and careful comparisons, the company chose the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base in Pingfang District (Harbin ETZ). From site selection, qualification review to administrative procedures, it took merely one day for Harbin Changrui Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Harbin Wanzijian Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to complete all registration processes, promptly acquiring their business licenses. They became the first bioeconomy project to land in Pingfang District (Harbin ETZ) in the new year. After registration, they promptly initiated construction of a COVID-19 antigen test kit production workshop at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base in Pingfang District (Harbin ETZ), with ten production lines ready for operation.

Throughout this collaboration, from the initial corporate visit to Harbin, through confirming the partnership, to obtaining the business license, departments in Pingfang District (Harbin ETZ) collaborated to open green channels, establishing a new pace for industrial project implementation. In the future, they plan to intensify services for enterprises, reinforce the business environment, facilitate production effectiveness, and attract more high-quality bioeconomic enterprises to settle in Pingfang District (Harbin ETZ).
